Rainbow Wong
M.A Counselling, Registered Clinical Counsellor, Canadian Certified Counsellor, Spiritual Mentor
Hello, my name is Rainbow.
I’m so glad you found your way here. No matter where you are today, I hope you find the support you’re looking for.
Many clients I work with are adults who grew up with emotionally unavailable parents. These early experiences of feeling unsafe or alone can often leave a quiet but lasting impact.
My approach to clinical counselling is gentle and trauma-informed. I often draw from Emotion-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Mentalization-Based Treatment. In our work together, we can revisit past experiences that have felt painful to hold. We’ll notice what is unfolding in your thoughts, emotions, and bodily responses, and how these patterns tend to show up in your relationships. I will support you as you lean into the parts of yourself that have felt wounded, lost, or unwanted. My hope is to create a safe space where all parts of you are welcome.
My approach to practicing spiritual direction is founded on the Word of God and my relationship with Him. I seek to support individuals who are interested to know God in a way that reflects the love, truth, and character of Jesus Christ.
If any of this resonates with you, I would love to connect and see if this might be the kind of support you’re looking for. I offer all services in English, Mandarin, or Cantonese, and you’re welcome to speak in the language(s) that feel most comfortable to you.
Outside of Mercy Counselling, I enjoy being alone with God and reading the Bible. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and serving the Lord together.

Spiritual Direction
At the heart of Mercy Counselling is Isaiah 55 - the free offer of mercy from a merciful God.
For many people, faith is deeply connected to how they understand themselves, their relationships, their suffering, and their hope for healing. Our practice offers a space where your spiritual life does not need to be separated from your emotional and relational experiences.
As Christians, we see that faith can be both a source of comfort and a place of struggle. Some clients come seeking support that aligns with Biblical values, while others may be navigating spiritual questions, church hurt, or tension within their relationship with God.
Our work is grounded in the conviction that God is sovereign, and that all people are created in His image, bearing inherent dignity and worth.
We recognize that humanity is fallen and affected by sin and brokenness, which impacts our emotions, relationships, thinking, and capacity for flourishing. We also hold that true and lasting healing is ultimately dependent on the grace of God and the renewing work of the Holy Spirit.
We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, and sufficient standard for the Christian faith (2 Timothy 3:15–17). The Word of God helps us understand the human condition, relationships, suffering, and hope.
We believe in the power and necessity of prayer. We recognize that change, healing, and fruitfulness are not produced by human effort, but by abiding in Christ and walking in His ways (John 15:4–5).
In light of God’s mercy, we joyfully offer spiritual direction free of charge as part of our personal ministry. Our approach to spiritual direction is faithfully Christian, holding together truth and compassion in service of those who are suffering, and also to those who would simply like to learn more about God. Individuals from all spiritual backgrounds are welcome here.
